Plain-language policy

A quiet, private boundary

This policy covers both the Stillwater Guard Focus Toolkit site and the Stillwater Guard browser extension. Neither uses a customer account or analytics, and the extension keeps its protection work on your device.

01

Toolkit site and payment

Payment processing is Stripe-hosted. This site does not receive your card details. Blocker and browsing data is never transmitted. The toolkit site has no customer account and no analytics. Checkout happens on Stripe's separate site; Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy terms.

02

Browser extension

To perform its single purpose, the extension accesses and processes locally current page URLs, visible title and body text, sensitivity and moderation labels or markers, outbound links, and request destinations. Chrome Web Store classifies this access as Website content.

03

Local use only

Website content and browsing information is not transmitted to our servers, sold, shared, used for advertising or creditworthiness, or manually read by us. The extension has no account and no analytics.

04

Current page, not server history

The current page is processed locally in your browser only while it is open. Stillwater Guard does not create or retain a server-side browsing history, blocked-page list, or search-activity record.

05

Local retention and deletion

Chrome local storage retains extension settings, lock state, and timer state on your device so protection changes survive browser events. Changing settings overwrites the relevant local values; to delete locally retained settings and state, uninstall Stillwater Guard. Uninstalling removes its local extension data.

06

Permission purposes

Alarms provide delayed-change and temporary-access timing. declarativeNetRequest supports known-domain blocking and SafeSearch enforcement; packaged declarative rules handle known-domain redirects while packaged local logic sets supported SafeSearch request destinations. Broad host access is required for selective filtering on supported mixed websites instead of blocking each platform as a whole.

07

Chrome Limited Use

Stillwater Guard's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

08

Packaged code and free protection

The extension uses no remote code, eval, or remotely hosted executable logic. Core filtering remains free. Buying or downloading the toolkit never changes blocker behavior, access, or protection settings, and the PDF download requires no account.
